VISIT TO A REHABILITATION CENTRE As part of the Social Service Club initiative, the students of Grade 12 from Christ Nagar Central School, Kowdiar, undertook a meaningful visit to St. Benedict Menni Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre, Menamkulam, Kazhakuttam, on 19 March 2026. A total of 30 students, accompanied by three teachers, participated in the visit. Prior to the visit, the students collected essential items that were in great demand at the centre, namely Matic Liquid and Milk Powder. In addition to this, a financial contribution of ?25,000 was also handed over from the school to support the institution. During the visit, the students actively engaged with the residents of the centre. They organized and performed various programmes, which brought joy and enthusiasm to the inmates.
We live in a world where there are very rich and utterly poor people. The poor are often neglected. We often forget our duty towards the poor and the needy. This league tries to inculcate in the minds of our young ones responsibility towards the neglected and poor and create a love for serving them in their needs.
Christ Nagar has been a champion role model in the field of charity since its inception. This year also school collected an amount of 7.15 lakhs through charity drive and an amount of 8 lakhs was given to Mr P Sudhakaran for constructing a house. The management appreciated the students for their initiative by giving prizes.
