Textbook Distribution & Reopening Schedule AnnouncedThiruvananthapuram: Christ Nagar Central School, Kowdiar has released the schedule for textbook and notebook distribution for the academic year 2026–27. The distribution will be held from April 22 to May 11, 2026, between 9:00 am to 12 noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, in a class-wise manner.The school will reopen as follows:UKG to Std IX – June 1, 2026LKG & Std XI – June 3, 2026Pre-KG – June 10, 2026Parents and students are requested to follow the schedule strictly for smooth functioning.
VISIT TO A REHABILITATION CENTRE As part of the Social Service Club initiative, the students of Grade 12 from Christ Nagar Central School, Kowdiar, undertook a meaningful visit to St. Benedict Menni Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre, Menamkulam, Kazhakuttam, on 19 March 2026. A total of 30 students, accompanied by three teachers, participated in the visit. Prior to the visit, the students collected essential items that were in great demand at the centre, namely Matic Liquid and Milk Powder. In addition to this, a financial contribution of ?25,000 was also handed over from the school to support the institution.During the visit, the students actively engaged with the residents of the centre. They organized and performed various programmes, which brought joy and enthusiasm to the inmates.
Bestowal of Honours – Batch 2025–26The school solemnly organized the Bestowal of Honours Ceremony for the Batch 2025–26, marking a meaningful occasion of gratitude, remembrance, and celebration of student leadership and service.The programme began with the formal welcome of the Father Manager, Principal, and Vice Principal. Class teachers were invited class-wise along with their students as candles were distributed to the students while they stood in line, symbolizing light, unity, and dedication. The class teachers were then invited onto the dais.The ceremony commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome speech. This was succeeded by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, which was first lit by the Father Manager and then by the Principal. Class teachers were called class-wise, and the candles of the students were lit by the Principal, signifying guidance and enlightenment.After the candles of the students were lit, a dedication prayer was offered by the Father Manager, followed by the School Anthem, creating a moment of reverence and collective commitment. The class teachers were then requested to place the candles on the dais.The Principal’s Address inspired the gathering with words of encouragement, appreciation, and reflection on the students’ journey. This was followed by the presentation of mementos to Classes XII E, XII F, XII G, and XII H, recognizing their collective efforts and achievements.Mementos were also distributed to Office Bearers, House-in-Charge Teachers, Captains, Vice Captains, and Band Members in acknowledgment of their leadership and dedicated service. As a token of gratitude and respect, the School Council and Class XII students presented their gifts to the Principal.One of the most touching segments of the programme was “Down the Memory Lane,” which evoked fond memories and emotions, celebrating the shared experiences of the graduating batch.The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks, marking the end of a dignified and memorable event that honored the spirit, achievements, and legacy of the Batch of 2025–26.
