Christ Nagar school has been conducted Virtual Science fair on 6th and 7th of November, 2020.The 2-days mega Virtual Science fair - NATURA CELESTIA - The MYSTERIOUS ALCHEMIST (PLANT HEALTH) , was inaugurated by Mr.Dr. Prakash kumar director of Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanical garden and reseach centre, on 7th November in virtual manner. The day was made splendiferous with the presence of Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI, Manager, Christ Nagar Group of Schools, Rev. Fr. Bino Pattarkalam CMI, Principal,Christ Nagar School, Kowdiar, Rev.Fr. Tinto Pulinchuvallil CMI, Vice Principal and the convenorsof the day, Ms Chithra Devi, Ms Shalini and Ms Rajeshwari.The day witnessed varieties of exhibits by the students.
VIRTUAL STUDENTS’ DAY…STUDENTS STEPPED INTO THE TEACHERS’ SHOES.... Christ Nagar School, Kowdiar always explores the possibilities of virtual platform and the school conducted the Virtual Students’ Day on October 5, Monday. The day started with the opening ceremony and the management entrusted the responsibilities of administration to the Student Office Bearers by handing over the key to the Student Principal, Kumari Rachael Sophia John. Master Devanarayan R was administered as Student Vice Principal, Master Avaneesh Pramod and Kumari Mirza Fiya as Academic coordinators, Master Anush Kumar S as Headmaster, Kumari Megha B S as Headmistress, Kumari Ann Mary Prince as Section Head (HSS), Kumari Ananya Binu Pillai as Section Head (HS) and Kumari Hazel Ann Sibi and Master Athul V Chandran as Administrative Assistants. The official ceremony witnessed the presence of Rev Fr Bino Pattarkalam CMI, Principal, Christ Nagar School, Kowdiar, Mr Suresh A, Headmaster, the convenors of Virtual Students’ Day, Ms Sandhya G, Ms Renjana S L and Ms Yamuna Rani. The day was a unique opportunity for the students to experience the new teaching strategies. The closing ceremony marked the glorious ending of the event.
This year, the coronavirus pandemic dampened the festive spirit around Onam and people were advised to celebrate indoors. However the spirit of harmony and humanity has not been mitigated in any way, instead it has connected the CNS family members in a better way.Our “Virtual Onam Celebration” was streamed on 30 August, 2020. Shri G Venugopal, play back singer who always pleases us with his mellifluous voice and his signature style in rendition inaugurated the function. Malayalam skit “Pratheeksha” was enacted and virtually presented which invoked a spark of positivity in the audience. In addition to this, Athappookkalam videos of CNS teachers, music fusion, athiruvathira performancebyteachers,replication of the iconic paintings of the acclaimed artist Raja Ravi Varma, a dance performance by students and Programmes by the little ones of KG and LP were also presented.What is Onam without Payasam? Payasam, the ambrosia of every Malayalee was prepared in the school in connection with Onam.
The online competition,"PHONEGRAPHY", conducted by the Art Department of our school, paved way for our students to capture the positive side of life amidst the chaos caused by the pandemic. It was held in three sections- UP, HS & HSS. The response of our students was astonishing and overwhelming.
