**Christ Nagar Central School Celebrates Kerala Piravi with ‘Malayala Shree’**As part of Kerala Piravi celebrations, the Malayalam Department of Christ Nagar Central School organized *Malayala Shree 2024*. The event was inaugurated by the Kottayam Sub-District Education Officer, renowned scriptwriter, orator, storyteller, poetess, and Middle East textbook awardee, **Mrs. Binu Thankachi**, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Through storytelling and recitation, the esteemed guest conveyed the essence of Kerala Piravi to the students. The school Principal, **Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI**, presided over the function, while the Vice Principal, **Rev. Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI**, delivered the Kerala Piravi Day message to the students. The program began with a prayer song and a vibrant welcome dance, followed by a duet song and a warm welcome speech by Master Arjun Hariprasad, the LP Head Boy. The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI, the School Manager, setting a reflective tone for the event. Kumari Lakshmi S lit the ceremonial lamp, delivering an inspiring inaugural address that captivated the audience. Master Prajwal S D, representing the child Prime Minister, gave a delightful address, adding charm to the celebration. The event also featured a felicitation by Rev. Fr. The 19th Science Fair, *Ecoforge*, was inaugurated on November 9 at Christ Nagar Central School, with the theme "Empowering a Sustainable Tomorrow through STEM." Prof. Dr. Suresh C.H. (Director, SRIBS) inaugurated the event, while the school manager, Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI, presided over the function. Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI, Principal, extended his greetings, and Rev. Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI (Vice Principal & Bursar) presented a memento to the chief guest. Head Girl Anupama Ashokan delivered the welcome speech, and Program Convener Ms. Sajitha S.S. outlined the fair’s objectives.With nearly 2,000 students from KG to HSS levels participating, the event centered around exploring sustainable energy solutions for the future. Students showcased their ideas in 45 rooms across categories like science, mathematics, technology, social science, literature, and more, presenting static models, working models, and on-the-spot exhibits.A major highlight was the "Waste Management: The Right Approach" mega project, led by students from the school’s four houses—Everest, Apollo, Olympic, and Expo. This project demonstrated innovative solutions to waste management and drew attention from all visitors. Additionally, a Mobile Virology Lab organized by the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology captivated attendees, sparking curiosity and promoting scientific awareness.The exhibition, which began at 9 a.m., concluded at 3:30 p.m., providing an engaging and educational experience. Christ Nagar Central School, Kowdiar, shines at the 17th South Zone Sahodaya Athletic Meet.This sports event, organized by Amrita Vidyalayam at the University Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, from October 17 to 19, was inaugurated by world boxing champion and Dhyan Chand Award winner K.C. Lekha. It was in this sporting arena that the students showcased their talents. Christ Nagar Central School secured the second position in the march-past competition, which had the participation of 54 schools.- Riya Ashish (Category 1 Girls) won the gold medal in the 50m race.- Devananda Uma Shailesh (Category 4 Girls) won the gold medal in the 800m race and the silver medal in the 400m race.- Abhikrishna (Category 4 Boys) won the gold medal in javelin throw.- Princi P.S.
