This year’s “Merit Day” at Christ Nagar Central School was held on January 9th,2024. The program was inaugurated by Smt Haritha V Kumar IAS , Director of Mining and Geology Department. Our School Manager Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI addressed the gathering. School Principal Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI, Rev.Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI (Vice principal and Bursar Christ Nagar Group of Schools), Ms. Jaya Jacob Koshy (Academic Co-ordinator) were present. Awards and cash prizes were given to students who excelled in extracurricular activities. Dances and songs were performed to brighten up the stage.
A felicitation program was organized under the leadership of class 11 class teachers for the children who are preparing for the class 12 board examination at Christ Nagar Central School. The teachers gave guidelines to score high marks in various subjects. Children shared their school experiences. Our School Manager, Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI, addressed the gathering. Attired in awesome gowns and caps, children were congratulated by School Principal Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI, Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI, and Academic Coordinator Ms. Jaya Jacob Koshy. Class teachers of Class 12, Ms. Rekha C, Ms. Anupama S S, and Ms. Sommy Ashok were present. Dances and songs were performed to brighten up the stage.
The Christmas celebration, "Chris Euphoria," and the School Annual Day celebration at Christ Nagar Central School were inaugurated on Monday, December 4, at 4:30 pm by Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Mr. Jeromic George IAS.In his Christmas message, Rev Fr. Antony Elamthottam CMI (Provincial, St Joseph’s Province) stated that Christmas will always strengthen tolerance and brotherhood, providing us with days to share love with each other. School Manager Rev. Fr. Paul Mangat CMI presided over the ceremony, and the school Principal Rev Fr. Xavier Ampat presented the Annual Report.Mr. Anoop Kovalam (Multi-Instrumentalist and singer) extended his greetings. The musical feast he provided added to the festivities. As part of the celebrations, around 150 children participated in Christmas Choir, Christmas Tree & Crib Competition, Skit, and other dance performances.The award for academically outstanding students were administered by Rev Fr. Antony Elamthottam CMI. Rev. Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI (Vice Principal & Bursar, Christ Nagar Group of Institutions) presented gifts to the dignitaries.Rev. Fr. Jimmy Moolail CMI (Christ Nagar English Higher Secondary School, Kowdiar), Rev. Fr. Mathew Thengumpalli CMI (Principal, Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Kowdiar), and Rev. Fr. Thomas Chennatussery CMI (Principal, Christ Nagar International School, Kazhakoottam) were present. School Head Girl Kumari Gauri A Sunoj welcomed the special guests, and School Head Boy Master Adarsh Mathew Reji proposed the vote of thanks. Program Convenors Mrs. GiGy George, Shri. Devdas G, and Mrs. Sindhu Raghuvaran led the program.
The 18th Annual Science Fair of Christ Nagar Central School, "Chris Nexavista", was inaugurated on November 10 at 8:15 AM by Ms. Biju C. Thomas (Vehicle Director, VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram). Around 2000 students from KG, LP, UP, HS, HSS sections were participated in this mega Science fair. The fair was organized in about 45 rooms in the categories of science, mathematics, social science, technology, literature, sports, music.As part of this, many projects, including research projects of the students, were exhibited in the fair. The exhibition of several small and large rocket models prepared in collaboration with ISRO was interesting and informative for children and adults alike. As part of this, the water rocket launch set up in the school ground aroused the enthusiasm of everyone.Dr. Roshini Anurudhan (Professor, HOD, Dept. of Balaroga, Govt. Ayurveda College, Tvm) inaugurated the free medical camp organized under the auspices of the pediatric department of Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, as part of the science fair. On that day, the store prepared in collaboration with Srikariyam Central Tuber Crops Research Institute displayed different types of tubers, planting material, and various products.The exhibition started at 9 am and ended at 4 pm. To inculcate scientific awareness and taste in children, to introduce research areas, and to make scientific achievements useful for human progress, these are the objectives of this fair. School Manager Rev. Fr. Paul Mangad CMI presided over the event, and School Principal Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI explained the project. Rev. Fr. Robin Pathinarilchira CMI presented the gift. Master Joel B. John delivered the welcome speech. Program Convener Mrs. Josna S R spoke about the objectives of the fair. Master Adikesav gave a vote of thanks. `Kerala Thanima 2023` jointly organized by Malayalam Department and Music & Dance Club on the occasion of Kerala Piravi Day at Christ Nagar Central School was inaugurated by Brother Rev. Fr Sebin Panakulam CMI by lighting the Bhadra Deepam in the school auditorium. School Principal Rev. Fr. Xavier Ampatt CMI presided over the function, and the special guest conveyed a Keralapiravi message to the children.Mrs. Preena S , the teacher of Malayalam Dept , delivered the welcome speech and Mr. Shafeek A, the teacher of Art Dept, expressed his gratitude.There after, children performed drama, Folk song and Kerala style fashion show. Besides, Art exhibition was also conducted in the auditorium .Head of the Malayalam Department Mrs. Bindu Paul, Mr.Krishna Kumar, Mrs. Rajeshwari, Mrs. Lakshmi Rangan, Mrs. Sindhu Meenakshi led the program.
