Christmas Fete was celebrated in Christnagar on 3 December 2018 with great festivities. His Grace Dr Yuhanon Mar Chrisostomos, Bishop of Niranam Diocese lighted the candle and conveyed the Christmas message. Rev Fr Bino Pattarkalam CMI, Principal, Christnagar School, welcomed the august gathering. Keynote address was delivered by Rev Fr Sebastian Chamathara CMI, Provincial, St Joseph`s Province, Tvpm.Rev Fr Joseph Vattaparampil CMI, Manager, Christnagar Group of Institutions, Rev Fr Kurian Chalangady CMI, Principal, Christnagar Hr Sec School, Rev Fr Thomas Chennattussery CMI, Principal, Christnagar International School, Rev Fr Joseph Eenthumkuzhy CMI, Principal, Christnagar Public School, Attingal, Rev Fr Tinto Pulinchuvallil CMI, Vice Principal, Christnagar School, Rev Fr Joseph Palakunnel CMI and Rev Fr Gino Kannekunnil CMI graced the occasion. Dr. Shiny Mathew, Principal Christnagar Central School, Kuchapuram, Kattakada, Convenors Ms Nimmu Joseph and Mr. Shyju. S , Master Arjun, Head Boy and Ms Furzana S Ali, Head Girl were present at the occasion. Prizes were distributed for various competitions in connection with Christmas programme. Ms. Furzana S Ali, Head girl, conveyed gratitude to all the invited guests.
With absolute finesse and pride the Students’ Day which is unique to Christ Nagar was ceremoniously celebrated on 13 September, 2018. Roles and responsibilities were vested upon the young minds which proved the sheer tenacity of the students. The golden key was handed over by School Principal Rev. Fr Bino Pattarkalam CMI to the student Principal Master Adith R K. Students were bestowed with the positions of Head Mistress, Academic Co-ordinators and Administrative Assistants in the event. In the concluding ceremony students shared their exuberant experience of shouldering the responsibilities. Certificate and medals were awarded for the best class, best teacher in various subjects by the Principal Rev Fr Bino Pattarkalam CMI. Vice Principal and Bursar Rev. Fr. Tinto Pulinchuvallil CMI, Vice Principal Mr Thomas Mani P, Head master Mr. Suresh A were also present on stage.
CNS celebrated Teachers` Day in the most befitting manner,even though the catastrophe of the flood & deluge lingered. The senior most teachers were honoured by adorning them with Ponnada. All the staff were presented with tokens of love. The children presented traditional art forms adding colour to the occasion.
The School Annual Athletic Meet was conducted on 27 July, 2018 at Kerala University Stadium, Trivandrum. The event was inaugurated by Ms Merin Joseph IPS (SP, Railway). It was followed by the lighting of the Torch by the School General Captain.The colourful march past by the four houses, aerobic performance by the students, display of skills by the NCC cadets and school band troupe made the day memorable The athletes completed with each other in various events and bagged the prizes. The chief guestsof the day were Dr. Aaranmula Hariharaputran (Renowned Writer) and MsSreeya Ramesh (Cine Artiste). The celebrations included the inauguration ofGirls’ Club and the launching of Charity Drive. The presence of the Manager ofChrist Nagar Schools, Rev.
